Nascar Gear: the essentials for a day at the race track

True Nascar fans attend at least one race a year, and generally more. Racing is fun, exciting, and easy to do if you’re up for it. To make the racing experience fun, there are certain items that you will need to bring with you. The following is a list of essential elements that will help make your career experience a good one.

1. Nascar clothing. Everything from t-shirts to jackets and caps is essential. Once you’re on the track, you’ll be able to buy everything you need from your favorite driver’s trailer shop.

2. Food and drink. Plan to bring sandwiches, drinks, chips, cookies, and peanuts. Of course, you can always grab money and buy “race” food like hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, and steak sandwiches.

3. Cooler. You have to have a place to store your food! But be sure to use a smaller cooler to fit between the benches.

4. Scanner, camera, binoculars. One scanner keeps you on top of the action and the others help you see and record the action.

5. Money. You may need new clothes or food / drink items.

6. Tickets. Don’t forget them!

7. Sunscreen. Depending on the time of year and which side of the track you are on, sunscreen is a must.

8. Cushion. Those metal seats can get really tough during a three-hour race. A cushion helps to “cushion” the pain!

9. Sunglasses. Keep the glare away and you will also look great.

10. Rain gear. You never know …
