PEI – Living with Regis and Kelly

Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa travel to PEI – ‘Live’ July 12-15, 2010. The stars of ‘Live! With Regis And Kelly ‘, America’s popular daytime talk show, will record four shows on Prince Edward Island. The outdoor production will air from Confederation Landing Park in Charlottetown. Life! With Regis and Kelly, the segment will showcase PEI, the smallest province in Canada.

Fans with tickets to the shows, as well as a large home audience, will see an interesting lineup of guests. John Corbett, star of Sex and the City, CCanadian actress Elisha Cuthbert and musical performer Lady Antebellum are on the guest list. The audience is in luck. As for Regis and Kelly, what can they expect from Prince Edward Island? If you were their tour guide, where would you take the popular duo to experience the best of PEI?

Regis and Kelly on Prince Edward Island

From ‘Live! With Regis And Kelly ‘is broadcasting from Charlottetown, let’s stay in that lovely capital. We should start with “Ana de las Tejas Verdes”. Charlottetown celebrates ‘Anne’ (the lovable character from Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel) island-style.

Anne of Green Gables

. Precious Moments Fine China, Gifts & Collectible Inc.

Perhaps Regis and Kelly would like to shop at Precious Moments Fine China, Gifts & Collectible Inc. They could choose from a selection of delicate ‘Anne’ figures.

. Center of the Confederation of the Arts

A production of ‘Anne’ at the Confederation Center for the Arts is always a good choice.

. Anne of Green Gables Store

The Anne of Green Gables store has a wealth of ‘Anne’ memorabilia and memorabilia.

. The Two Sisters at The Confederation Court Mall

The two television stars would like to meet “The Two Sisters”. They could browse through their “Anne” products.

. Lucy Maud Dining Room

The Lucy Maud dining room is not decorated in an “Anne” theme, but Regis and Kelly will like the restaurant’s excellent cuisine.

Culture and history

. House of the province

The majestic Province House, a Canadian National Historic Site, is a must-see.

. Founder’s Hall

Regis and Kelly should head to Founder’s Hall, Canada’s Birthplace Pavilion. They can travel back in time to the Charlottetown Conference in 1864. If they take a tour of the nearby historic district, costumed guides will reenact stories from the time.

. Historic Great George Street

Visiting television personalities should take a stroll down historic Great George Street. They have to see the storyboards in the corners. These storyboards provide a glimpse into the city’s past.

Arts and crafts

. Fire station studies

If Regis and Kelly want to see the artists at work, they have come to the perfect place. Firehorse Studios offers an open workshop on stained glass crafts.

. Marcela Rosemberg Glass Studio

The couple will be amazed by the impressive glass cast pieces at Marcela Rosemberg Glass Studio.

. Happy glass

Kelly might want to appear at Happy Glass to get beautiful murano glass jewelry.

. Pilar Shepard art gallery

Regis may prefer to browse the Pilar Shepard art gallery.

. Peake Pier

The couple will want to visit Peake’s Wharf – Historic Waterfront Merchants – for shopping and a relaxing meal.

. Eclectic Emporium Luna

Kelly will love Luna Eclectic Emporium with unique clothing, jewelry and home décor pieces.

. Northern Watters knitwear

Regis may want to get ready for winter and buy some “winter warmers” at Northern Watters Knitwear.

. PEI Dirt Shirt

Regis and Kelly would look good in a shirt hand-dyed in the island’s usual red (like its rich red land) from PEI Dirt Shirt.

. COW ice cream

The famous couple can cool off with COWS ice cream, named “World’s Best Ice Cream” by Tauck World Travel.

. Harry’s Bar

Delicious appetizers in this cozy place!

. Mavor’s Bistro and Bar

Mavor’s Bistro & Bar serves delicious desserts.

. The Selkirk at the Delta Prince Hotel

For a good dinner, Regis and Kelly must try The Selkirk at the Delta Prince Hotel.

. Chambers Restaurant

Regis can enjoy a tender steak at Chambers Restaurant & Bar.

. Grandma’s Tea Room

Kelly can try a “cup of tea” in Grandma’s tea room. They even have a tea sniff bar.

. Claddagh Oyster House

Claddagh Oyster House serves island oysters.

. Lobster on the dock

Regis and Kelly can enjoy fresh lobster and a spectacular view at Lobster on the Wharf.

. Culinary Boot Camp

Do you think Regis and Kelly would like to go to boot camp? A culinary boot camp held at Holland College’s Culinary Institute of Canada!

Wherever Regis and Kelly stay on the island, they are sure to enjoy the accommodations. PEI cabins and hotels are first-class establishments. Suitable for talk show royalty, or the Royals, or that ‘very’ special guest – you! Vacation – ‘alive’ in PEI!
