Vaginal yeast infection treatment – For the frustrated woman

In this article I am going to cover the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. This is one of the most embarrassing and annoying conditions for a woman. Don’t worry, you are not alone. Half of all women will have a yeast infection by age 25 and 75% of all women will have a yeast infection at some point in their lives. If you are frustrated and bothered by burning, itching, pain, pain during intercourse and discharge, there are solutions for you. They described below.

Yeast Infection Treatment Options

Creams:

The cheapest option is generic clotrimazole cream or vaginal tablets. They are usually $7-$8 if you want to get the seven-day products and about $12 for the 72-hour treatment.

Another option that many people use is tioconazole cream. This is a popular option because it’s just a single app. The creams include Monistat-1, which costs around $18, and Vagistat-1, which costs around $15.

I personally do not like creams for the treatment of vaginal infections. I find they are a pain in the ass and tend to ooze easily.

Tablets:

One of the most comfortable options is the single-dose pill. These are not available over the counter, so you will require a prescription from your doctor. A popular pill is Difican SP.

These seem to be pretty solid, but they can have some nasty side effects including headaches, nausea, and abdominal pain. A friend of mine’s abdominal pains were so severe that she was kept in bed for 3 days.

Important points to note:

Although these are pretty good solutions for treating yeast infections, I have to make one point very clear. These creams and pills do not completely cure the infection, they only treat the symptoms. For many, after the initial symptoms temporarily disappear, but then reappear worse than before. Most doctors would agree that these solutions create more problems than they solve. To completely eliminate whatever caused the yeast infection in the first place, you need to address the root cause. There are all natural solutions that address the underlying source of your yeast infection. It is the most realistic option to cure this infection permanently.
