Backpack push-ups

If you’re looking for a bigger challenge and want to build some strength when doing your push-ups, all you need is a sturdy backpack and some extra weight inside.

A heavy pack will put the toughest and strongest men to the test. This is not an exercise for beginners. For years, and still today, men all over the world use the bench press as an indicator of strength and this is absolutely insane.

The push-up uses more muscles than any bench press exercise performed at any gym.

A weighted pack will develop total body resistance that is not doubled in the gym. Pushing up is and always will be a total body strength and conditioner despite what most experts will tell you.

I feel like the heavy pack is better than the heavy vest because of the way the two fit your body. The weight vest will creep and bounce off the ground, but the backpack sits on the back and will leave you with a deeper push-up.

Backpacks are cheaper than a weight vest. You can buy a backpack for five dollars or use it in army and navy stores or garage sales and for a couple of dollars get a great training tool.

The best thing about the backpack pushup is that there are so many great workouts that can be done. The key to steady growth is to keep your body guessing, you never want your body to get used to your workouts. When the body gets used to workouts, it will stop responding and boredom will start and your results will slow down or stop.

So if you want to put some thick muscle on your upper body, grab a backpack, throw in some weight, and try one of these workouts.

The walk pushup workout will work more than just your upper body. Because, the workout requires you to get down on the floor to do push-ups and get up again.

So, set a time limit or a distance and a number of pushups you want to do and prepare to achieve them. An exercise you can try, walk a mile and try 250 push-ups.

Another exercise that will challenge you physically and mentally is to simply start with your chest on the ground and do a push-up, then get up and then return to the ground touching the ground with your chest. Try this for a few minutes and the added weight will make you think twice.
