Engine Options for the 2010 Buick LaCrosse

The new 2010 Buick LaCrosse comes in 3 different versions, which are the CX, CXL and CXS trim levels. The 2010 Buick LaCrosse CX and CXL models come with two different engine options. The first engine option for the models is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower. The second option for the CX and models is an upgraded engine featuring a 3.0-liter V6 that produces an impressive 255 horsepower. Both models come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

For those looking for even more trucks, the CXS is the way to go. The CXS version comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower. Like the other models, the CXS comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The engine options for all three car models are different from the 2009 options. The 2009 CX and CXL models came standard with a slightly more powerful engine that had a 3.8-liter V6 engine that produced 200 horsepower. The 2010 CXS replaced the Super Trim model that had a 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 325 horsepower.

While the engine options for the 2010 car are less powerful than the 2009 model, overall fuel efficiency has increased and the car leads the industry in many categories. The car compares best to the typical large sedan in acceleration, fuel economy, ride quality, and quiet. Overall, the 2010 model is considered the best value in its class.
