Is the Internet right for you? meet him face to face

Internet marketing is really no different than a physical store where they share the same thing. They share phases of progress and must change focus as each phase is presented. More importantly, they must continually be diligently updated to be ready for that change. Internet sales are a focus of the entrepreneur just as cash sales are the goal of the store owner. It is discovered that the young entrepreneur learns very quickly, especially if he is smart enough to admire a couple of professionals and copy what they do. The youngest entrepreneur is very quick in coming up with new business ideas to apply.

There are 5 different phases of progress:

1. Invention

2.Expansion and Production

3. Standardization – Directives and Guidelines

4. Consolidation

5. Decline – Replacement of new technology

STAGE 1: Invention:

Something is needed and someone fills the need. The Internet grew rapidly in the years between 1995 and 1998. Internet marketing had not yet developed.

PHASE 2: Expansion and Production:

Internet Marketing was pretty well defined and sales were really starting to go up as a result of knowing how it worked. The young and young-minded were rapidly developing systems for working at home. Also, the scams were beginning to rear their ugly heads.

PHASE 3: Standardization – Directives and Guidelines

Google had pretty well set the standards for both traffic generation and online advertising. His search engine became the industry standard and his development of Google AdWords quickly took the industry to the next phase.

PHASE 4: Consolidation

The key players were becoming dominant in this phase. The majority of the web was owned by a select few and the minority balance still existed from the scraps. This was not a phase created by the Internet. You could look at the railroads in the 1900s when ownership went from 185 businesses to 6 major highways. The math reveals a consolidation factor of around 96%.

AT&T obtained its patent in 1894. According to information on the web, 6,000 new telephone companies emerged in less than a year. None of them survived when standardization technology began to grow. Paper newspapers are also in the “extinct” shadows, even the US Postal Service lurks in the shadows because of email.

The automotive industry is another obvious example of what can and has happened. In its heyday, the US held several automaker titles. Now, there are only 3, and all three are heavily contaminated with foreign cancer dissecting them.

Phase 5: Decline – Replacement of new technology – Modernization

The automotive industry will exist for a long time to come, but it is now undergoing a process of radical change. Experimentation with electronic engines or natural gas engines continues today, and you can be sure that it will probably remain in the experimental stage for years to come.

The communication industry is also reviewing computer communications. What is current today will be replaced with new technology tomorrow.

Cars replaced the horse, radio was the demise of print, television has crippled radio, and internet marketing is winding down and will eventually almost replace the 8-5 hour hustle as more and more people now work in home via the Internet.

Phase 6: Ingenuity

Many of the young people are bored with the websites they see today. There are at least 3 different systems that are under development to pretty well replace current email and other communications.

So what does all this mean for you and me? What do we do with this thoughtful information? Well, for starters, if you haven’t started an online business yet, you’re already overdue.

Most of the information available online is either very old or an outright scam, so you need to be very careful when researching. Misinformation can be very dangerous to your financial well-being. Most of what you read on the web is old and useless.

Bottom line, do your research, but do so with all of the above in mind. Things change daily and there are always new trends on the horizon.
