Learn All The English Bulldog Puppy Training Tips And Become Your Own Dog Trainer

I want to share some English bulldog puppy training tips that I learned along the way raising my Hunter dog. Like any new pet owner, I was once in the same situation as you, lost.

For starters, you should be able to start your training as soon as possible. Dogs, just like humans, can learn multiple lessons during their younger years. Puppies as young as 8 weeks are mature enough to be trained.

To do this successfully, make your training area conducive to your pet. Puppies are easily distracted, so a quiet spot will be a good place for training.

Consistency is the name of the game. Must be able to make training a routine process. If you start after meals, do it consistently so you don’t confuse your puppy. Your tone of voice is another factor to consider. Be firm when you give your pup the command, but at the same time, include the lighter side of training by giving a lighter tone each time you praise your dog for a job well done.

Rewards can work very well in training. Dog food and other treats should be given for each successful attempt at good positive reinforcement. This is in addition to the praise you are giving. Praise and treats should be given immediately after each successful action so your puppy associates the rewards with what he is doing.

One aspect that is commonly left out of most puppy training advice is what to do when your puppy messes up. Never punish your puppy for not following his directions correctly. Don’t rush the training by being impatient. Let the puppy complete the task at her own pace. If he doesn’t do well, just don’t give him the reward or praise. Don’t blurt out comments like “bad dog” or “stupid.” Puppies are emotional creatures too.

Finally, keep the training short but repetitive. By constantly repeating and practicing, you will soon master your training. Practice makes perfect.

Starting early can help your pup develop lessons and tricks that he will need to have a rewarding experience with you. I hope these simple English bulldog puppy training tips can be of invaluable help.
