Our Mysterious Mother Moon

At New Moon, the Moon and Sun are aligned, there is a union of creative potential (Sun) and unconscious receptivity (Moon). This is the moment of conception, the egg is ready and waiting for impregnation and this egg contains the potential for the entire cycle. There is a sense of excitement, something important is in the air, but you don’t have a definite expectation of what is to come. There is passion, a pioneering quality and innocence in the New Moon phase. Because this is a time of unawareness, it can also be a time of vulnerability and doubt. Be a visionary, the function of this phase is to become aware of the intention, then there will be opportunities to review and redirect.

Each new cycle begins subjectively. At New Moon there is an inner turmoil or new interest, but the novelty does not happen in a vacuum: the seed or the egg is already there. The New Moon is a turning point, both an ending and a beginning, so what emerges takes place in the context of what has come before. However, the potential for new life is delicate and can be hindered or severely damaged if you are not willing to open up to the new. Be active and spontaneous, projecting yourself outwards with passion and courage.

During the New Moon phase we form our intention, see it and act on it. The question you must ask yourself is what do I want? Create a visual representation that you can focus on throughout the cycle. The idea is to let the desire become the goal and then clarify that goal without worrying about how it will be achieved. It’s time to trust yourself and your ability to learn and adapt. It is about the potential to manifest the desired goal. At the New Moon (conjunction) you can think of a million things you want, but they will all remain just potential until you focus on something you can achieve. The opportunity comes a couple of days into the cycle when a bit of discomfort forces you to get down to business with change.

As an example, let’s say that on the New Moon you set your intention to find a new job and for the next two days you dreamed of all the things you would like to do and the places you would like to work without a clear focus and with a lot of work. imagination. If you were to stay in that space, you would be doing exactly what you are doing now for the foreseeable future. Then, an unpleasant encounter with your boss renews your determination to truly manifest your New Moon intention. The new job you desired at the New Moon is no longer the dream, it is now the goal that you will take with you into the Waxing phase where you will develop the resources to sustain the New Moon vision. Each of the 8 phases lasts just under 4 days. So much for what the Moon has to offer each month, what does it mean to be born on a New Moon?

Born during the new moon phase? If you were born during the New Moon phase, you have an enormous amount of subjectivity and self-absorption that will drive others crazy, but it is your lack of objectivity that allows you to achieve things that others would not dare to attempt. You are a pioneer, an adventurer and an initiator, you are here to say “YES” to life. The downside is that looking at all the possibilities, you may find yourself always starting over and over again, and having a hard time naming your address.

Those born during the Waxing Moon are often rebellious or reformers, they know what they want to do, they have big goals and big dreams, but they are also frequently victims of their own doubts. They are often reluctant to move forward and fear failure and their lives remain the same year after year. Although they look to the future and want to rise above the circumstances of their birth, their feet often seem to be firmly planted in the past.

Born during the gibbous phase? Those born during a gibbous moon are surviving and concerned. Often in childhood they lead them to be particularly interested in self-development. They are tenacious and conservative, but they often get stuck in perfecting themselves and end up doing nothing, if only because the time is not right. However, these people are excellent problem solvers, with the ability to hang in there and see things through to the end.

Born during a full moon? If you were born during the Full Moon, you are infected with a drive towards greatness. You have high expectations of yourself, but you are also drawn in two directions. Perhaps it is this inner tug-of-war that drives you to even greater achievements, as it fills you with the notion that no matter what you have or what you do, it is never enough. Relationships are fundamental to your life, they keep you balanced and growing. It is in the give and take of relationships that you are able to find the balance that reconciles your inner world with the outer world.

If you were born in the Disclosure Phase you are a communicator, teacher or mentor who inspires others. The drive to share his knowledge and wisdom with the world is the greatest motivation in his life. This is the “guru” Moon who feels the need to reform the world and often his ideas and views are revolutionary in nature. But those born during the “guru” Moon should make sure they have something worth sharing. To be a good teacher you must first have been a good student…

Those born during the last quarter of the moon are rebellious and dissidents who can often have a strong feeling of alienation. They are thoughtful, philosophical, and have a strong internal belief system as an imperative. They are individualists who are great at turning things around due to their ability to see what needs to be done, as well as the lies beyond the horizon.

If you were born during the Balsamic Moon phase, your focus is on the future. You can even have premonitions and be able to foresee events. You probably believe that fate plays an important role in your life. And although your drive is forward, you often experience confusion about your future direction – learn to calm your rational logical left brain and listen and trust your intuition. It is often said that those born during the balsamic phase are living a life of completion and abandonment, and for this reason they see many people coming in and out of their lives…

NB. As part of my ongoing research, I have deliberately left one moon phase out of this article. Do you know what phase I’m talking about? If so, I thank you for your interest and welcome any correspondence on the subject; your attention gets mine. I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
