Waterless car cleaners: how to get the best results

Let’s be honest. We lead busy lives and few of us have time to wash and wax our vehicles on a regular basis. However, we want our cars to look their best. A convenient way to accomplish this feat is by using waterless car cleaners, which also help conserve water and protect the environment.

Waterless car cleaners that wash and wax your car at the same time allow you to keep your vehicle clean, shiny and protected without the hassle. The whole process only takes about 30 minutes and amazing results can be achieved with minimal effort. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of these products.

Do not use them in excessively dirty cars

For best results, do not use waterless wash and wax on excessively dirty cars. These products work best on light to moderately soiled cars. If the surface of your car is covered in dirt, please rinse it first.

Shake the can well

To maximize the results of waterless car cleaners, shake the can well before applying to your vehicle. Also, if you have sensitive skin, wear rubber gloves when washing your car to protect your skin and prevent irritation.

Spray one section at a time

Regardless of which brand you use, be sure to spray a light coat on a small section of your vehicle at a time, so the formula covers the surface of your vehicle evenly. Also, hold the can 6 to 12 inches from the surface of your car. To remove scuff marks, tree sap, road tar, or insects, spray a thicker coat of the wash and wax on your car and let it soak in for a few minutes before wiping it off with a towel.

Use a 100% cotton terry cloth

Once you’ve sprayed the formula onto the surface of your vehicle and let it sit for a bit, use an absorbent 100% cotton terry cloth to rub it in a circular motion and spread it evenly so that it picks up loose dirt. For best results, change cloths regularly so they don’t get too dirty or wet.

Use a microfiber cloth to polish your vehicle

Use a microfiber cloth to buff off the remaining wax haze and bring out a deep shine. Once you finish polishing the entire painted surface of your vehicle, you can use the excess product on the terry cloth to clean your vehicle’s windows and wheels.

The shine and protective finish that waterless car cleaners leave on your vehicle are drops of water for several months. However, for optimal results, you should apply a waterless wash at least once a month. Cleaning your car regularly will keep it in great shape because it will remove harmful elements that corrode the paint while sealing it with a protective coating. Fortunately, cleaning your car with a waterless product is much quicker and easier than traditional washing and waxing, so the process of keeping your vehicle looking good won’t take hours of your precious time.
