What is transfiguration?

We live all our lives simultaneously. At any given moment, you are your third incarnation, as well as the three hundred and sixty incarnation (if you have had that many). It is possible to live more than one existence together because those other selves do not really exist in time. Time is simply a Linear Thought Belief created by humanity. Time doesn’t really exist, so we can live all kinds of lives at the exact same moment, while our conscious mind sees them as Past, Present, or Future.

As we become more aware of other dimensions, we can interact with ourselves in other ways. When we release the idea that time is linear, all kinds of possibilities are created. When we leave behind the thought of time, we have the possibility of developing abilities of transfiguration.

Transfiguration is a form of mediumship in which the medium (a psychic who communicates with spirits) temporarily takes on the appearance of another being. It may be that person in another life, or spirits who want to communicate and are using the psychic as a channel. Usually the change in appearance is visible only around the face, but the entire transformed body can also be seen. This is especially true if a full-length mirror is used as a tool, or if someone is observing the transfiguration and can see the full length of her body.

When working with this form of communication, a person observing this process can see a completely different person sitting in front of him, old or young, from this century or even from another planet. While the person still exists, the observer can see the face of another entity superimposed on the medium. In some cases, a veil of ectoplasm will appear on or just in front of the psyker’s face, and a face will emerge from the glutinous material.

During this altered state, the face that materializes can be almost translucent or completely obscure the psychic face. The Spirit can speak words or use the medium’s vocal cords and actually speak through them. A modern transfiguration, Abraham, speaks through Esther and Jerry Hicks. In some sessions, the channeler may appear shorter or taller, or even appear to be wearing a favorite hat, dress, or piece of jewelry that was once favored by a deceased Spirit. Spirit’s voice often sounds a bit strange and can be difficult to understand as its vibration is different from that of humans.

While transfiguration is not as popular as it was during the height of the Spiritualist Movement, it is still practiced today. Abraham is just one example.
