The Presto Pizzazz Pizza Oven is the best kitchen tool since the crock pot

I recently asked my daughter and my family to move in with me. To my joy they said yes. By doing so, I have access to my grandchildren, two lovely dogs, and as a bonus, their Presto Pizzazz pizza oven.

I have never seen one as I eat very little pizza unless someone else cooks it. The first night my grandson made a couple of pizzas and I was hooked. Frozen pizza didn’t just taste like takeout, I loved the idea of what you could cook with the oven.

In the following days I tried several of my grill recipes. I had to do little to no adaptation to make them taste the same, or even better, than before. Soon he was cooking full dinners in the Pizzazz Oven. If you have one of these amazing appliances, try this recipe.

grilled chicken strips

1 pound raw chicken strips

1/4 cup virgin olive oil

1T Mrs. Dash [flavor of your choice]

3 large potatoes [washed and cut in 6 wedges each]

2 medium tomatoes [sliced]

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

6-8 basil leaves [opt]

Preheating is not necessary, but you can spray PAM on the surface of the oven.

Using two resealable plastic bags, divide the olive oil between them. In the first place your chicken. Close the zipper, using your hands, move the chicken until each piece is lightly covered. Open bag and pour in Mrs Dash, close and repeat until chicken is coated in spices. Turn on Pizzazz Oven and start preparing your chicken.

In the other bag place your potato wedges and do the same as the chicken. Making sure each piece is coated with olive oil. Arrange them around the oven, skin side down. You may need some care when placing food in the oven, you need to keep the surface balanced to ensure even cooking. Potatoes and chicken will cook in about the same time limit, 5-7 minutes depending on their thickness. It is not necessary to turn them over as the oven heats on both sides.

About two minutes before the first food is ready, you can put the tomatoes in the oven. You may need to move some of the other items to make room. If you can’t find room for the tomatoes right now, you can put them in the oven after the potatoes are done. You may also want to use a piece of aluminum foil under the tomato slices if they are juicy, as it might make a bit of a mess on the counter.
Place a tomato slice with a couple of basil leaves, then sprinkle the cheese on top. Once the cheese has melted, the tomatoes are ready to be put on a plate. This meal serves 4 but can be easily adjusted.

In total, with the preparation and cooking time, the meal took me about 30 minutes.
